FAQs
Q. HOW MUCH WILL A DOUBLE GLAZING REPAIR COST?
A. Repairs of double glazed doors and windows start from just £50, which is much cheaper than replacing an entire double glazed unit. Remember, we repair all types and sizes of double glazed doors and windows, including patterned glass and coloured glass.
Q. WHAT IS A DOUBLE GLAZED UNIT?
A. This is when 2 pieces of singles glass are sealed together to create a double glazed unit. It is hermetically sealed to make it air tight.
Q. WHY DOES CONDENSATION OR WATER APPEAR INSIDE A DOUBLE GLAZED UNIT?
A. This means the double glazed unit has failed and broken down. The failed seal is allowing to get inside the double glazed unit creating condensation. We can make a swift repair at a small charge saving you hundreds or thousands of pounds to un-necessarily replace the whole unit.
Q. I HAVE VERY OLD WINDOWS, CAN YOU REPAIR MINE?
A. As long as they are double glazed windows we can usually carry out a swift repair. We’ll carry out a free site visit to check and provide you with a cost before any work is carried out.
Q. WHAT AREAS DO YOU WORK IN?
Q. WHY WOULD MY WINDOW BE DRAUGHTY OR NOT CLOSE PROPERLY?
A. The usual cause of these problems would be an issue with the hinges resulting in the sash (the opening part of the window) not closing properly. Alternatively the existing black rubber gasket seal between the sash and the frame maybe perished and worn. Give us a call and we can organise a free site visit with cost to repair: 01642 483998 or 07720 077278.
